Nicolas Potel在1996年開始自己的酒商事業，以釀造高CP值的勃根地酒款聞名。他成功拓展高品質葡萄採購網絡，搭配極致的釀造技巧，釀造出價酒超優惠的優質勃根地酒款。2004年，Nicolas將他的品牌賣給了Labouré-Roi的Cottin兄弟，但依然持續自己的釀酒事業，並在2009年建立新的酒標Roche de Bellene，持續他在Beaune的酒商事業。
緊鄰著知名葡萄園Musigny特級園的愛侶園，雖然在分級制度上為一級園，但在許多葡萄酒品評家的眼中，絕對具備和特級園相並而論的資格，連葡萄酒大師Clive Coates都曾說過“together with Gevrey Chambertin’s Clos Saint-Jacques, Chambolle Musigny Les Amoureuses is the prime premier cru candidate for promotion to grand cru.
