Here the wood is much more tightly integrated with the earthy dark fruit aromas nuanced by traces of violets, licorice and a very subtle hint of mocha. The big, robust and muscular flavors offer a lovely sweetness with excellent depth and a forward but mouth coating finish of serious length. This is a big wine though not as structured as some in this range; still, it’s going to require 8 to 10 years to be at its best.

Drouhin-Laroze成立於1919年，由家族經營，至今持有約11.5公頃的葡萄園，遍佈在Gevrey Chambertin以及Chambolle Musigny，其中包含許多一級園和特級園，最著名的有Le Musigny、Chambertin Clos de Beze、Chapelle Chambertin和Latricieres-Chambertin等，釀造的酒款精彩且品質出色，但凡耐心等候陳年，能感受到酒款日益劇增的複雜度。
勃根地的2004年非常看重釀酒師的功力，這個年份的Drouhin Laroze Bonnes Mares在Philippe Douhin的帶領下相當成功，對於2004年他說道：“classic vintage in the traditional sense of the term with a heavy emphasis on terroir and perhaps even more pinot character than usual./這個年份在傳統意義上而言是個經典，突顯了特有的風土條件，且比以往更有Pinot Noir的特性。”
