波爾多五大酒莊之一的Chateau Latour，2012年起，也就是2011年份的酒款，便退出期酒 – En Premier的行列，僅有在酒莊正式釋出的時候才會在市場上進行販售。比起2017年還晚一年推出的2016年霸佔整個榜單，獲得8個滿分100分的超高成績，可說是近年來最優質的產出。Neal Martin更是表示能與波爾多個大傳奇年份媲美。”Having tasted over 60 vintages of Latour, I would not hesitate to place the 2016 amongst the top-tier vintages produced over the last century…The 2016 can be uttered in the same breath as the 1900, 1924, 1959, 1961, 1982 and 2010./品嚐過超過60個年份，我毫不猶豫地認為2016可以說是這個世紀的頂尖存在，2016與1900, 1924, 1959, 1961, 1982和2010有著相同的氣息。”
Chateau Latour位於Medoc中心地帶，是波爾多葡萄酒傳奇的開始，歷經幾世紀的氣候和地理變遷，酒莊葡萄園有著得天獨厚的風土，酒莊這個區域也扮演著重要的歷史角色，自1331年開始悠久的歷史留存下來的知識對於波爾多的發展有著非常大的影響力，並在1855年列為一級特級酒莊(1er Grand Cru Classé)每年生產量極低，釀造出具有深度、優雅，且集中度高的高階酒款，主要生產Carbernet Sauvignon (混釀比例高於90%)賦予酒款優美的色澤、富裕及鮮明的特色。通常酒款需要較長的時間，約十年的時間陳放達到適飲期。
